Mr. Uribe served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988 to 1999. He rose from the rank of Private to Captain through the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) a highly competitive program designed to prepare outstanding enlisted Marines to become officers. While in the program, he attended the University of Texas, became the Battalion Commander of the Naval Reserve Officer’s Training (NROTC) course and upon receiving his commission was recognized as the Honor Graduate of his graduating class. He then went on to become an Air Traffic Control Officer and subsequently commanded one of ten active duty Air Traffic Control Detachments in the Marine Corps. During his career as a Marine officer, Mr. Uribe attended night school and subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Upon exiting the Marine Corps in 1999 he was formally recognized with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for superior performance of his duties.

He then entered the telecom industry where he held several management level positions including National Accounts Program Manager for Allegiance Telecom, Inc., Strategic Accounts Manager for McLeod USA and Telecommunications Manager for H.E.B. Grocery Company. In 2004 Mr. Uribe was recruited to join NovusEdge, a high tech startup that specialized in IP enabled access control and video solutions. During his tenure at NovusEdge, Mr. Uribe’s accomplishments included the development and implementation of technical support processes and procedures from the ground up and identifying and implementing automated solutions for call center and technical support operations. Two years later in 2006 Mr. Uribe made the decision to start Recruit Veterans and hasn’t looked back since. Today Recruit Veterans serves several Fortune 500 companies and continues to grow at an amazing pace.
